Sweden’s Iggesund Paperboard is raising the price of its solid bleached board range, Invercote, and its value added-functions products by US$108 per tonne for all deliveries as of June 1. The company’s folding box board range under the Incada brand will go up in price by US$88 per tonne for deliveries as of May 14.

According to the company, the price increases are largely because costs for input materials such as wood, energy, chemicals and transport have gone up sharply over the past couple of years without manufacturer adjustment. Iggesund announced a price increase for Incada last autumn but was not able to implement it.
